As per APAC Rules 18/2/20 6.3(e) we implemented ear tags to be captured with each lot in FlexiAuction and this tag info will be printed on all invoices and loading documentation issued from FLEXIAUCTION.

PROCESS

From our trails and tests conducted since Dec19, we identified the ring as the ONLY logical place to identify animals individually (inside the ring, at ring entry or ring exit), as this is the ONLY phase during the auction process where the animals is grouped as a single LOT.

Animals may still be identified during arrival and dispatch, but this will only be for verification purposes as there is no LOT grouping at arrival and despatch.

Lots is captured by roll-keeper and optionally captured directly real-time as animals is sold in the ring

As a separate process the lot is scanned as a batch with a particular time-stamp

as the animals is entering/inside/leaving the ring

LOT sequence and the BATCH sequence is then synchronized to allow for real-time invoicing.

Please consider that scanning needs to be done REAL-TIME. Tag data CANNOT remain on the device to be imported from the device at a later stage, as invoicing cannot be delayed :- invoices and loading documentation must be printed with tag info on demand.

TRACEABILITY

After an auction is finalized a function will be provided to upload data to our central servers for integration into a designated traceability system.  As there currently is no regulation, we propose only saving the following fields to our database:

• ANIMAL TAG AND DESCRIPTION
• AUCTION DETAILS (AUCTIONEER, DATE AND LOCATION)
• NON-IDENTIFIABLE BUYER ALIAS
• NON-IDENTIFIABLE SELLER ALIAS
